Loren and Kathy Kushman of Columbus are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Their children and grandchildren surprised them with a family celebration in St. Joseph, Michigan on a family vacation trip in October. The couple renewed their vows in a ceremony by Pastor Glenn Rosenbaum overlooking Lake Michigan, a reception followed at the vacation home.
The Kushmans were married Jan. 27, 1968 at Grace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, Michigan in a ceremony performed by Pastor Ronald Freier.
Both are retired.
They have three children, Jon and Beth (Kushman) Dawson, Jason and Kelli (Kushman) Palmer and Brian and Sarah Kushman; and six grandchildren.
