Columbus City Utilities has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the area of Eighth and Chestnut streets. This precautionary measure is necessary due to a shutdown associated with emergency pipe repairs.
Customers are asked to boil cooking and drinking water for 5 minutes until notified that the water has passed laboratory testing.
The boil water advisory began Monday and customers will be notified when it will be lifted. Customers who have provided phone numbers to the utility will receive robocalls. All customers affected will receive a door hanger notice prior to, and upon completion of the testing.
