NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police say a shooting left two people dead.

News outlets reported Monday that police spokesman Aaron Looney says officers found the unresponsive victims inside an apartment when they responded to a call for a wellness check.

Police say the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
