MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A former juvenile detention center employee accused of asking released inmates for pornography or sex has accepted a plea deal that keeps him out of prison.

The Journal of Martinsburg reports 28-year-old Jonathan Jeremy Alvarez pleaded guilty Monday to one count of internet solicitation of a minor. He had been indicted on three counts of internet solicitation of a minor and two counts of possessing child pornography.

The area Crimes Against Children Unit says Alvarez offered to meet up with a minor for sex multiple times, and received pornographic images from four minors, ages 15 to 18, after their release from the Vicki V. Douglas Juvenile Detention Center.

Alvarez was sentenced to probation and two years of supervised release. He also must register as a sex offender.
