Jackie C. “Jack” Winner

COLUMBUS

Jackie ‘Jack’ Cleyon Winner, 76, entered into eternal life at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Silver Oaks Heath Campus in Columbus.

He was born February 11, 1941, in Randolph County, Indiana. He was the son of Cleyon and Vivian (Hensley) Winner.

He was a food services director and chef at several nursing homes and retirement communities throughout Indianapolis, Columbus and Seymour. He thoroughly enjoyed this line of work and cherished many of the friendships he made during his career.

He adored his family very much and treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children.

He loved cooking, boat rides, vacations with family, visiting with friends, trips to the casino, and the Moose Lodge, where he was a lifelong member.

He is survived by his sister, Janice (Larry) Grace of Columbus, his brother, Bill (Sandra) Winner of Farmland; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Wanda Arnold, and a brother, Bennie Stout Jr.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with John Sichting officiating.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.

A Moose memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday by members of the Columbus Moose Lodge No. 398.

The committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gardens of Memory Chapel, 10703 N. Old State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
