SEATTLE — Authorities say detectives are investigating after two men were shot in the South Park area of Seattle.

The Seattle Police Department says someone called 911 Wednesday afternoon when he was approached by a man who had been shot in the thigh. Police say officers arrived and found a second man who had been shot in the back.

The victims told police they saw a car speed away after the shooting.

Seattle Fire Department spokeswoman Kristin Tinsley told The Seattle Times that the 23-year-old and 26-year-old victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

Police described the men’s wounds as serious but non-life-threatening.
