Symphony of Psalms: Columbus native to conduct choir

Columbus native Eric Stark first heard Igor Stravinsky’s “Symphony of Psalms” while in high school here in his hometown. And he always wanted to perform it. The conductor of the 200-voice Indianapolis Symphonic Choir gets his chance at 7 p.m. Saturday when the ensemble presents that work and others at Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts at Butler University, 610 W. 46th St. in Indianapolis. Seymour resident Donata Cucinotta, who performed with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic in 2016, will be among featured vocalists. Information and tickets: 800-982-2787 or indychoir.org.
