New Albany tops Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Romeo Langford, the nation’s top unsigned recruit, poured in a school-record 63 points Thursday night to lead Class 4A No. 3 New Albany to a 102-52 Hoosier Hills Conference win at Jennings County.

The Panthers fell to 5-12 overall and 0-5 in the HHC.

Brown County falls

NASHVILLE — Franklin jumped out to a 38-17 halftime lead and went on to hand Brown County a 67-31 defeat.

Isaiah Keefauver led the Eagles (2-14) with nine points.

Eagles stop Cougars

GREENSBURG — South Decatur trailed by only five after three quarters, but Jac-Cen-Del pulled away for a 64-45 win.

The Cougars  (3-16) shot only 19 for 70 from the field, including 4 for 27 from 3-point range, and 3 for 8 from the free-throw line. Matt Cornett scored 16 points, while Brandon Benge and Lane Lauderbaugh each added 13.
