COLUMBUS
Janice A. Calhoun, 74, of Columbus, passed from this life at 2:10 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at her home.
Janice was born June 1, 1943, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Edward James and Frances Rubin Taylor.
Janice had had been employed at Onkyo for 12 years and Capco for nine years and retired from Arvin Industries after 17 years of service.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Columbus and she enjoyed membership in the Women of the Moose and the Eagles Lodge.
Janice enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her children, Tyler (Tina) Snyder of Columbus, Tina Talkington of Hope and Melanie (Tom) Stamper of Columbus; seven granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Pete and Tom Taylor.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Brian Rogers officiating.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
