SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — A man has been arrested in a shooting death of a 21-year-old in South Carolina.

The Greenville News reports that Simpsonville police arrested 22-year-old Davorien Laquez Ray on Thursday on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Greenville County Deputy Coroner says 21-year-old Collin Khalil Starcher was involved in an altercation with one or more people and was later found dead of gunshot wounds on Jan. 23.

Ray is being held without bond. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.
