Edinburgh native, Marine corporal participates in cold-weather training

An Edinburgh native who is a reserve in the U.S. Marine Corps recently participated in a two-week, cold-weather training exercise in the northeast.

Cpl. Christopher Mulryan, a rifleman with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines, 4th Marine Division, participated in exercise Nordic Frost at Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vermont, Jan. 13-27.

Reserve Marines with 24th Marines conducted cold weather training among the mountainous Vermont terrain to improve the unit’s environmental capabilities by giving them an introduction to cold weather training and testing their squad- and fire team-level defensive proficiency in a severe environment.

Mulryan also is a student at Indiana University and a drive shaft manufacturer in Edinburgh.
