Four arrested near Elizabethtown on drug-related charges

Indiana State Police assisted by multiple police agencies arrested four people after serving a search warrant near Elizabethtown.

The search warrant was served Friday at 9555 N. County Road 700W by the Versailles state police All Crimes Policing Unit, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, the Columbus Police Department and detectives from the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Task Force. Officers found methamphetamine, controlled substances, methamphetamine precursors, syringes and drug paraphernalia, investigators said.

Arrested were:

  • Nicholas J. Johnson, 39, Elizabethtown, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
  • Christopher C. Parrott, 41, Greensburg, on charges of  possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine precursors.
  • Nicole Schlapp, 38, Greensburg, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of a drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
  • Kelly L. Williams, 29, Columbus, on charges of visiting a common nuisance and a Jennings County arrest warrant.

All were taken to the Jennings County Jail pending court appearances in Jennings Circuit Court, state police said.
