COLUMBUS
John Wallace Howell, 64, of Columbus, passed from this life at 2:37 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
John was employed at Cummins Engine Company and was former owner of Cellular To Go.
A motorcycle enthusiast, John enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
John was born January 14, 1954 in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was the son of Wallace and Beatrice I. Drake Howell.
Survivors include his son, David (Jennifer) Howell of New Palestine; a granddaughter, Katelynn Howell; his sister, June (John) Vance of Columbus; niece, Yanice (David) Munt of Columbus; nephews, Jim (Kim) Howell and Richard Howell, both of Columbus; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Elder Dan Ledwinka officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service.
Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
