BURLINGTON, Vt. — A Burlington jury is set to hear details of a case for a man charged with fatally shooting another man following a bar dispute in 2015.

Prosecutors say 26-year-old Chavis Murphy, of Burlington, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Obafemi Adedapo, of New York. WCAX-TV reports a jury comprised of 10 men and five women was seated before opening arguments Tuesday morning.

Murphy has pleaded not guilty and has been jailed since his arrest. Authorities said Adedapo was shot after a bar dispute over a woman.

A judge previously delayed the trial by asking for a new jury after he asked the old jurors if they had learned anything about the case or read any media reports.
