LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police say they have arrested a man suspected in a homicide and kidnapping.

Lt. Dan McGrath says police received reports of a shooting in west Las Vegas on Wednesday.

McGrath tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that a woman’s ex-boyfriend broke into her home and shot her current boyfriend before kidnapping her.

The woman was later found safe.

Her boyfriend was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police used a helicopter to locate the suspect’s gray BMW and patrol vehicles chased him until they were able to apprehend him.
