BOISE, Idaho — State authorities say the carcasses of nearly three dozen Canada geese were found dumped in southwest Idaho.

The Idaho Statesman reports an Idaho fish and Game officer discovered the dead geese near Swan Falls Road south of Kuna on Monday.

Officials say nine Canada geese and two ducks were found dead in the same area near the Kuna Butte last month.

Authorities have not released a cause of death for the birds.

Authorities ask that anyone with information on the animal deaths to contact the regional Idaho Fish and Game office in Nampa or the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
