BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the death of a teenager whose body was found north of Denver.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office announced late Thursday night that 22-year-old Joseph Lopez had been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Natalie Bollinger, of Broomfield.

Her family reported her missing Dec. 28, and she was found dead the following day.

The Broomfield Enterprise reports Bollinger was shot in the left temple at close range, and no gun was found at the scene.

Online jail records do not indicate if Lopez has hired an attorney.
