CLARKSVILLE, N.H. — A New York woman is recovering after being thrown from a snowmobile in northern New Hampshire.

New Hampshire Fish and Game officers say the 50-year-old woman from Yonkers crashed when trying to take a sharp left turn in Clarksville on Friday. She was ejected as the machine went off the trail and rolled over, and because there was no cellphone service in the area, had to be taken on the back of another machine to a warming hut 12 miles away.

Authorities say from there, she was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
