SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Authorities in Scottsdale have identified the person run over and killed by an RV as it was backing up as a 78-year-old woman.

Police Sgt. Ben Hoster says Rose Marie Scott was pronounced dead at the scene of the Saturday afternoon accident.

He says the woman and a man were in the process of backing up an RV when the woman was fatally struck.

The police have said speed and impairment don’t appear to be factors in the incident, which remains under investigation.
