NEW HOPE, Miss. — A Mississippi shooting has left one person hospitalized and two more in custody.

The Columbus Commercial Dispatch cites a Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office release that says the Saturday afternoon shooting in New Hope might have been related to drugs.

The injured person was taken to a hospital before being airlifted to a second location. Investigators haven’t released the names or charges of anyone involved in the incident and the department still is investigating.
