CAMDEN, N.J. — Authorities say a man shot and wounded on a street in southern New Jersey has died from his injuries.

Camden County prosecutors say police responded to the 500 block of Pfeiffer Street around 9 p.m. Sunday after getting an alert through the city’s gunfire detection system.

They found 28-year-old Camden resident Amir Hardison on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later.

No other injuries were reported in the shooting, but further details were not disclosed. A motive remains under investigation.

No arrests have been made.
