Raymond Leon Lewis

KNIFLEY, KY.

Raymond Leon Lewis, 70, of Knifley, Kentucky, formerly of Columbus, died at 1:41 p.m. February 8, 2018, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Raymond was born March 2, 1947, in Martinsville, Indiana, the son of Jacob Harry and Ada Mae Hartman Lewis. He married Lois Sanders on May 18, 1997.

He retired from Bartholomew County Maintenance and then moved to Florida where he worked, and retired from, LaCita Country Club. He collected model trains and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, baking, sewing and making jams and jellies. He also enjoyed bee-keeping.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hudson officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Union Flatrock Cemetery in Ripley County.

Memorials may be made to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; sons, Timothy Lewis of Knifley, Kentucky, Thomas (Lanette) Hobbs of Edinburgh, and Zach (Nikia) Hobbs of Columbus; daughters, Lisa Louden of Columbus, Amy (Juan) Ordonez Colop of Hope, Mary (Jack) McCoy of Knifley, Kentucky, Nicole (Chad) Pegg of Columbia, Kentucky, Tracey (Ron) Morgan of Goshen, Indiana, and Charlotte Royce of Springfield, Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and five sisters; and three grandchildren.
