GARDEN GROVE, Calif. — Authorities say Southern California firefighters extinguishing a car fire found a burned body inside the vehicle.

Officials in Garden Grove say the fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in a parking lot in the city’s business district.

Crews quickly doused the flames and then discovered the body.

Details about the victim or the fire were not immediately available.

City News Service reports the Garden Grove Police Department is investigating.
