GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A woman who authorities say didn’t return to Hall County Jail from work release has been charged with escape.

Authorities say 26-year-old Natalia Ramos, of Grand Island, was listed as escaped on Jan. 30. She surrendered to authorities on Friday.

Ramos was sentenced Jan. 10 to nine months in jail for a misdemeanor theft conviction and had been granted work release for employment at a Grand Island restaurant.
