Doris A. McIntyre, 87, of Columbus, died at 8:20 p.m. February 8, 2018, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
She was born December 6, 1930, to Harry and Martha Probst Nolting at their home.
She married William R. McIntyre September 14, 1968, at the home of her parents with Pastor Richard Tremain officiating. William preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Columbus High School, Class of 1949.
She worked in the office of Dr. William J. Ryan, and retired after working 20 years at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and antique collecting. She was especially fond of her pet schnauzers, Samantha and Raven.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 1:30 p.m. until time of service. A private burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
She is survived by her niece, Nancy Strietelmeier Wheeler, and nephews, Lance and Dennis Nolting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; her brothers, Victor and Robert A. Nolting; a sister, Marie E. Nolting Strietelmeier; and her niece, Ruth Dalene Nolting Noblitt, and nephew, Donald Nolting.
