Lutreasia ‘Luke’ Gilbert

COLUMBUS

Lutreasia “Luke” Gilbert, 61, Columbus, passed away at 2:36 a.m. Monday February 12, 2018, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.

Luke was born October 5, 1956 in Danville, Kentucky, the daughter of Harvey and Emma Boyd Griffin.

She married Carson Gilbert on September 27, 1991.

Luke enjoyed antiques, and “antiquing.”

She loved spending time with her family, especially her “four legged child” named Pugsy, a pug.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday February 15, 2018, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday February 14, 2018, and one hour prior to the service Thursday. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to San Souci.

Survivors include her mother, Emma Baker of Columbus; a son, Kevin (Melissa) Croucher of Flat Rock; a daughter, Tonya (Shannon) Burkman of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Donnie (Bonnie) Griffin of Columbus, Larry (Donna) Griffin of Taylorsville, Ronnie (Betty) Griffin of Ogleville, Mark (Diana) Baker of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Harvey “Doodle” (Karen) Coontz of Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Carson, on October 3, 2013; a brother, Elbie Ray Griffin; and sisters, Margaret “Sissy” Spurgeon, Debro Griffin, and Wanda Griffin.
