ALAMAGORDO, N.M. — Alamogordo students will have the chance to talk and ask questions to astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
The Alamogordo Daily News reports NASA chose the New Mexico Museum of Space History, in conjunction with the Alamogordo Public School and the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as one of the 14 groups nationwide that will participate in an in-flight downlink program.
Teams from Alamogordo High School, Academy Del Sol, Chaparral Middle School, Mountain View High School, Holloman Middle School and the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired will talk with the astronauts on Feb. 21.
Representatives from each team will take turns asking questions to Astronauts Joe Acaba, Scott Tingle and Mark Vande Hei.
