Get first aid certification with upcoming course

An American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED course will be offered from 1 to 4:30 p.m. March 10 at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus.

The course has a $100 fee, which includes the card fee, double certification and a two-year registration with the American Heart Association. To register, visit mybcpl.org under Events. Prepayment is required and can be done by sending an email to [email protected] for payment details.

The course will cover CPR and AED use; opioid-associated, life-threatening emergencies; child CPR and AED use; infant CPR and first aid basics; and choking in an adult, child or infant.

The course is intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job or regulatory or other requirement. The course may also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
