Brian’s picks – February 15

1) The production of “Love Letters” this weekend will mark the area’s fifth anniversary of its love affair with Hope dinner theater. The group now known as Actors Studio of Hope launched its concept with the play before a sold-out crowd. Hope actor Pete Law, who appeared in that show, returns for this presentation at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Willow Leaves of Hope, 326 Jackson St. in Hope. The lead characters read letters they wrote to each other from the time they were children. Tickets are $25. Information and reservations: 812-546-0640.

2) Online clips of guitarist Kade Puckett show him playing everything from whimsical to jazzy to classical in nearly flawless fashion. The 2013 National Fingerstyle Champion, known as “Pickin’ Puckett,” brings his versatility — rock, country, blues, funk, you name it — to a performance at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Harlequin Theatre inside the FairOaks Mall, 2380 25th St. in Columbus. Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door and $10 for students. Available online at kadepuckett.brownpapertickets.com.
