FORT WORTH, Texas — Police in Fort Worth say officers have fatally shot a man who had gone to a business and threatened a former girlfriend with a weapon.

Authorities said in a statement that officers responded Wednesday to a call of a domestic disturbance at the business. They learned the suspect had left and later pulled over his vehicle.

Authorities say the man stepped out of the vehicle and failed to comply with police orders. They say he was shot at least once when he continued to walk toward officers while displaying a gun.

The man was taken to a hospital where he died.

Officials say body cameras were worn by the officers at the scene but it’s not yet clear what the cameras may have captured.
