GREENSBURG
Steven J. Redmon, 71, of Greensburg, passed away on February 15, 2018 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 15, 1946 in Greensburg, the son of Joseph and Frieda (Swango) Redmon.
Steven was a 1966 graduate of Burney High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He married Mary Ann Phillips on October 29, 1966 at the First Christian Church in Greensburg. Together they had two children, Ann Marie and Steven Howard. Steven was a toolmaker and machinist at Delta for over 44 1/2 years before he retired.
Survivors include: daughter, Ann Marie (Carlton) Brown; son, Steven Howard (Rachel) Redmon; sister, Virginia (James) Stephen; grandchildren, Olivia, Sarah, Molly, Hannah, Jessyka, Jakob, and Krisjo; and three great-grandchildren, Alaina, Connor, and Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Redmon; brothers, James and William Redmon.
A visitation will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the time of the Memorial at 2:00 pm. Rev. Steve Wood will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Donor’s Choice.
