Flood warning issued for the Driftwood River

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a flood warning for the Driftwood River near Edinburgh from late Wednesday to Saturday morning.

The river was at 5.6 feet at 8:30 a.m. Monday and is expected to rise about the 11 feet flood stage by early Thursday morning. River levels are expected to be at 12.6 feet by Thursday night before falling below flood stage Friday night.

When the Driftwood River is at 12 feet, there is lowland flooding in northern Bartholomew County, near County Road 950N to the Double Y Saddle Club, according to emergency management officials.
