Bill Gelfius, Justin Gelfius and Steve Bennett, all of Hartsville, recently were honored for their tomato-growing efforts.
The farmers were named Red Gold Master Growers at Red Gold’s 27th Annual Growers Banquet in Indianapolis. The event was conducted in conjunction with Purdue University’s Horticulture Congress.
The Gelfiuses and Bennett received their seventh Master Grower Award and were presented with a Red Gold plaque. The Master Grower Award is presented each year to recipients who have distinguished themselves from others by delivering quality production, and exhibiting professionalism and industry leadership.
