Report of unconscious man ends in arrest

An Edinburgh man was arrested after Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies were sent to an address there about an unconscious person.

Deputy Dustin Newland was sent to the 1000 block of Branton Drive in Edinburgh where he saw a male on the ground at 6:11 a.m. Saturday, deputies said. As Newland approached, the subject moved and identified himself as Bryan Lambert, 24, 480 Prosser Drive, deputies said. He told Newland he had been sleeping.

Deputies confirmed that Lambert had pending arrest warrants, and while he was being taken into custody, deputies found marijuana and other drug-related paraphernalia in his possession.

In addition to out-of-county warrants, Lambert was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a legend drug-injection device, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, deputies said.

He is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail without bond, jail officials said.
