Pancake breakfast today; tractor drive postponed

The Hauser FFA chapter invites the community for a pancake breakfast in the Hauser auditorium from 6 to 9 a.m. today. Cost is $5. It’s also Blue and Gold Spirit Day at Hauser. It’s the final activity during the annual FFA Week.

Meanwhile, a traditional activity of the Columbus FFA chapter, normally also scheduled on the final day of FFA Week, is being postponed a week.

Because of rain forecast for today, 10 Columbus students will be driving their tractors to school next Friday instead of today. They will meet at the Columbus Bowling Center, 3010 State St., at 7:15 a.m. March 2 and begin their caravan to Columbus East High School, 230 S. Marr Road, at 7:40 p.m. that day, said Allison Korb, Columbus FFA advisor.
