Columbus Parks and Recreation Department has closed Mill Race Park due to flooding. Crews are monitoring the high water and will reopen the park when it is possible, parks officials said.

In addition to the park, several sections of the People Trail along Jonathan Moore Pike and from Mill Race Park to Noblitt Park are flooded, parks officials said. Crews will monitor the high water and the trails will be reopened after the water has receded and crews have cleaned mud and debris from the trail.

Parks officials are advising residents to use caution on all People Trails this weekend. Areas prone to flooding may be inaccessible.
