Columbus police arrested a local man on drug-related charges after officers responded to a report of suspicious people in the 2200 block of Union Street.

Officers were sent to the address at 7:20 p.m. Friday and located two people, one who gave a false name, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

The suspect, who was later identified as Martin E. Porche Jr., 33, Columbus, was arrested, and while searching him, officers located marijuana, methamphetamine, a scale and several clear plastic bags, Harris said. Three local arrest warrants for Porche were also confirmed, Harris said.
