MILLINOCKET, Maine — Police say they have arrested a woman in North Carolina in connection with the death of a man in Maine.

Alexis Locklear was arrested in Maxton, North Carolina, on Thursday. Police say she was charged in connection with the Dec. 19 shooting death of Wayne Lapierre in Millinocket, Maine. Locklear was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday for murder and robbery.

Police say Locklear’s father, Tony Locklear, and boyfriend, Christopher Murray, were also indicted on Wednesday. They say Tony Locklear remains at large while Murray was arrested and brought back to Maine in late December.

Police say fugitive proceedings will take place in North Carolina before Alexis Locklear is returned to Maine. It was unclear on Thursday if she had retained an attorney.
