Columbus Christian falls

DAYTON, Tennessee — Columbus Christian led 24-22 at halftime Friday, but Eastland from Cypress, Florida, rallied for a 42-37 win in the placement round of the NACA Division 5 Tournament.

Conner Emily led the Crusaders (15-23) with 23 points. Levi Sallee, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in August 2016, scored two points on a basket to begin the third quarter.

Rebels oust Cougars

HANOVER — South Decatur was within two points after one quarter, but Class 2A No. 10 Southwestern (Hanover) pulled away for a 69-46 win in the semifinals of the Southwestern Sectional.

Lane Lauderbaugh led the Cougars (4-20) with 22 points. Jacob Watts added 12.
