Jason Larrison
Jason Larrison

Columbus-native Jason Larrison has joined CORE Planning Strategies, Indianapolis as a senior project manager.

CORE Planning Strategies is a management firm that helps organizations with facility, redevelopment or process improvement changes.

Larrison has more than 17 years of experience in the public sector in architecture and planning.

Most recently, Larrison served on Mayor Joseph Hogsett’s cabinet as director of the City of Indianapolis’ Department of Business and Neighborhood Services. Larrison provided direction for all of the city’s permitting, licensing, review and inspection functions.

Larrison’s work history also includes serving as the state architect for Indiana, where he was responsible for the building design and construction contracts for state agencies and oversight for state-owned property. A registered architect in Indiana, Larrison is a graduate of Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning.

Kevin McMullen

Dr. Kevin McMullen, radiation oncologist at Columbus Regional Health, was honored recently at an international level for his work in the field of radiation oncology.

He has been selected as a Top Doc for 2018, by research and information company Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd. Castle Connolly “Top Docs” are peer nominated and reviewed by a physician-led research team for medical education, training, hospital appointments, disciplinary history and other factors, according to a statement from Columbus Regional Hospital.

McMullen is one of just 11 Indiana providers selected for 2018. This is his third year to receive the designation.

McMullen also has been asked to present a lecture this weekend at the 2018 Leksell Gamma Knife Society Annual Meeting in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

 

Elwood Staffing Chairman and CEO Mark S. Elwood was recognized in Staffing Industry Analysts’ annual list of North America’s 100 most notable influencers for the fourth time.

The list honors people who work in the staffing industry whose contributions have positively impacted workers and job seekers across the nation.

Under Mark’s leadership, Elwood experienced strong growth and achieved an all-time record high of new customers billed weekly, and acquiring three industry competitors, according to the company.

Columbus-based Elwood is the 10th largest industrial staffing firm, the 18th largest U.S. staffing firm, and the 46th largest global staffing firm, according to the company.

 

Cummins, Inc. announced that Vice President of Procurement Tim Millwood will become vice president of global manufacturing. He will replace Stan Woszczynski, who is retiring after 30 years with the company, effective March 28.

Millwood has led the purchasing function since 2012. Under his leadership, purchasing has developed and deployed key transformation strategies across the company to increase collaboration, reduce risk and increase oversight of Cummins’ supply base, according to the company.

Millwood joined Cummins in 1992 as a manufacturing engineer. He has held a variety of leadership roles in manufacturing and purchasing, including international assignments in Brazil and the U.K.

Woszczynski rose from business manager to plant manager after joining the company, eventually presiding over 10 plant startups during his career at Cummins. He was named a vice president at the company in 2007 and since 2013 has been vice president of global manufacturing.

Century 21 Real Estate LLC recently honored Century 21 Breeden Realtors with the Century 21 President’s Award.

The annual award is given to independent offices that earn the Century 21 Centurion and Quality Service Pinnacle awards in the same calendar year.

The Centurion award is presented to Century 21 offices that achieve or surpass sales production of $2,399,000 or 472 closed transaction sides within a calendar year.

The Pinnacle Award is presented to independent offices that receive satisfaction surveys for at least 80 percent of their consumers surveyed in a calendar year, with a survey score of 95 percent or better for two consecutive years.

 

The Water University and the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water has announced that Jeffrey Fish, water superintendent of Columbus City Utilities, has earned the Utilty Management Certification Credential.

To receive this designation, an applicant must have a minimum number of years’ experience in water and wastewater management and have completed a minimum number of hours of specialized professional development. Applicants must also pass an examination.

The UMC credential is currently held by 700 utility professionals nationally.

 

Jackson County Bank CEO Marvin S. Veatch announced that JCB has entered into a new brokerage relationship with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.

Current customers will continue to be served by Patrick Ballard, investment representative, who will help customers transition to Raymond James under the name JCB Investment Services.
