WAREHAM, Mass. — One Massachusetts man says his car saved his home from a fallen tree during the nor’easter that battered the east coast over the weekend.

Glenn Sharpe tells WBZ-TV a large pine fell on a Jeep parked in his driveway in East Wareham Friday night. The Jeep stopped the tree from crashing into Sharpe’s home where his mom and sister were sleeping.

Sharpe’s mother says “if that wasn’t there, I wouldn’t be here.”

Sharpe says his vehicle took little damage, and he expects he’ll only need a new fender. Crews are working to determine how to remove the tree that is hanging over Sharpe’s rooftop.
