Department seeks ideas for SNAP

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking for ideas to promote work and self-sufficiency among able-bodied adults participating in the department’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The public can provide input through a notice in the Federal Register. Comments can be submitted on the Web at federalregister.gov/documents/2018/02/23/2018-03752/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-requirements-and-services-for-able-bodied-adults-without. USDA intends to use the input received to find improvements to SNAP policy and related services that can help SNAP participants return to self-sufficiency, according to a news release.
