WALCOTT, N.D. — No birds were lost when fire destroyed a barn on a Richland County turkey farm.

County Emergency Manager Brett Lambrecht says the barn that burned at Lelm Farms east off Walcott on Tuesday morning was empty, and officials were able to restore electricity to two other barns that each housed 15,000 turkeys.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze.
