FONTANA, Calif. — Authorities say a man has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a woman and her father at a home in Southern California.

Investigators say the suspect and the woman were arguing early Wednesday in Fontana when the woman’s father intervened.

Officials say the man stabbed the woman and her father and then ran off.

The male victim was taken to a trauma center with unknown injuries. The woman refused treatment for a stab wound to her leg.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports the 46-year-old male suspect was taken into custody when he returned to the home later in the morning.

Detectives say the alleged attacker and his victims all knew each other.
