Dale F. Burbrink

COLUMBUS

Dale F. Burbrink, 78, of Columbus, passed away at 7:49 p.m. March 6, 2018, at I.U. Health-Methodist in Indianapolis.

Dale was born March 27, 1939, in Columbus, the son of Franklin and Frances Nicol Burbrink.

On June 28, 1959, Dale married Bettie Bode, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Dale was a 1957 graduate of Columbus High School, and was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek, where he served in several capacities.

He was a part-time farmer all his life, and retired in December of 2005 from Culligan Water Conditioning after 43 years of service.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek with Pastor Justin Whitmore officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday March 9, 2018, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie Burbrink; his children, Scott A. (Beth) Burbrink and Nancy J. (Gary) Meyer, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Brittany (Aaron) Harden, Lauren (Ethan) Johns, Emily (fiance,Thomas Nienaber) Burbrink, Ethan Meyer, Katie Burbrink, and Seth Meyer; great-grandchildren, Lila and Hunter Johns; as well as a sister, Jane Meyer of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Robert Meyer.
