ORLANDO, Fla. — Authorities say a Florida road construction worker was struck and killed by reinforced steel.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that accident occurred Thursday morning near an Interstate 4 on-ramp in downtown Orlando.

Police say 56-year-old Michael Tolman was working on the I-4 Ultimate project when a piece of equipment fell on him. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
