Columbus East graduate interning at Statehouse

Micheal Brock Patterson of Columbus is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2018 legislative session.

Patterson, the son of Mike and Diana Patterson, is a Columbus East High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University in December.

As a legislative intern, Patterson tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research, according to a news release.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to assist Indiana legislators in their process to make Indiana better every single day,” Patterson said.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by Wednesday.
