Driver, passenger arrested on drug-related charges

A driver and passenger were arrested on several drug-related charges after their vehicle was stopped at 16th and California streets.

Columbus police officer Skylar Berry stopped a vehicle for a minor violation at 11:20 p.m. Monday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Berry identified the driver as Nathan R. Limeberry, 30, of 3107 14th St., and the passenger as Nicholas Linney, 27, 10 S. Beatty St., Harris said. Berry confirmed that neither of the two men had a valid driver’s license to operate the vehicle, Harris said. When searching inside the vehicle, officers found drug paraphernalia, a syringe, marijuana and methamphetamine, Harris said.

Limeberry was arrested on preliminary charges of:

  • Felony possession of a legend drug-injection device
  • Felony possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Driving while suspended with a prior conviction

Limeberry was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $122,500 bond, jail officials said.

Linney was arrested on preliminary charges of:

  • Felony possession of a legend drug-injection device
  • Felony possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana
