Fifth-graders at Hope Elementary each year take a trip to King’s Island in Mason, Ohio, as a class reward.
This year, however, the school’s grant provider didn’t choose Hope Elementary to pay for tickets and transportation.
Not wanting her students to be disappointed, fifth-grade teacher Jennifer Wamsley began looking for other sponsors and found one in MainSource Bank, which has a Hope branch at 8475 State Road 9.
Emily Steele, MainSource digital media and and social marketing manager, stepped up to donate 60 King’s Island tickets for Hope Elementary students. Teachers kept that as a surprise to the fifth-graders until March 9, when MainSource representatives and mascot Sunny the Super Saver stopped by the school to share the good news.
