ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A Las Cruces woman has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Joclyn Telles and a co-defendant were arrested in February 2017 and charged with conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
According to a criminal complaint, Telles and a Las Cruces man were arrested on outstanding arrest warrants following a traffic stop in June 2016 in Dona Ana County.
During a search, authorities reported finding about 2.6 ounces of methamphetamine and a firearm in the defendants’ vehicle.
Telles pleaded guilty last July without a plea agreement.
